After attending local schools she graduated from the University of Oregon with a BA and an MS. Jill’s area of expertise is in historic homes. She helped found the Historic Preservation program at the College of the Redwoods and is a part-time Professor teaching classes in architectural restoration and research. Jill is a past commissioner on the City of Eureka’s Historic Preservation Commission and helped write the Preservatin Ordinance, and the 1997 City General Plan Update. In 2002 the City of Eureka adopted the Eureka Visioning Committee Report, co-authored by Jill, which addressed issues in Eureka’s downtown core-area.
